You may be the parent of a child ready for braces and looking to get them started, or you may simply want to discuss potential orthodontic treatment options for your child. You may have long desired straighter teeth for yourself and finally, want to discover your options for orthodontic treatment. Whatever your situation, the first visit at Harris Orthodontics, Atlanta, GA, is an opportunity for us to learn about the treatment goals, dental care needs, and long-term expectations of our patients. We appreciate the opportunity to meet you, and Dr. Peyton Harris takes every measure to ensure that you and your family feel comfortable in our office.
What to Expect During the First Visit?
During the first visit, Dr. Harris will make a clinical examination of your teeth and jaws. Dr. Harris and the team will also answer all of your queries.
Young children may not require immediate treatment, but regular observation is needed for monitoring their growth and development. Before starting with the orthodontic treatment, we will thoroughly assess and diagnose the patient in several ways. This includes:
- Medical & dental history
- Digital X-rays
- Complete clinical examination
- Impressions of upper/lower arches
- Images of patient face/smile
A proper treatment plan, including all the various options, will then be created.
Orthodontic Treatment Plan
The proposed treatment plan will cover everything, including your concerns, such as correcting an overbite, straightening the teeth, or diagnosing your long-term orthodontic health needs. The scope of the treatment always depends on our patient, but our goal is to develop a plan that addresses your specific orthodontic needs.
Our precision diagnosis and proper treatment planning help you achieve the perfect smile. If braces are the ideal treatment option, we will discuss your concerns and expectations. Your first visit at Harris Orthodontics may be as a child or an adult. Dr. Harris will develop a customized plan based on your unique concerns and needs. As a patient, we understand that you can have many concerns and queries about orthodontic care. We encourage our patients to clear all their doubts during the first visit.
